Odor Removal Service

There is nothing more embarrassing than hearing someone ask, “What’s that smell?” when they enter your home. With odor removal services from Shield Home Watch, you can eliminate smells from smoke, pets, and other sources.

Many things can cause lingering odors, and they have nothing to do with how much you clean. Once odors are embedded deep down where normal cleaning cannot reach, those unpleasant smells will hang in the air. In some cases, they can even make the air unhealthy and cause an array of health problems. If you have odors that won’t go away, then it’s time to call the professionals at Shield Home Watch.

At Shield Home Watch, our odor removal services rely on commercial ozone (O3) generators. This technology is free of harmful chemicals and neutralize odor molecules. No perfumes or masking agents are ever used. We can give your home the freshness you desire without any of the hassle or effects from typical chemical treatments.

We specialize in a clean home by not only removing odors, but by improving your home’s air quality as well. Our odor removal services are effective at removing:

  • Pet Odors

  • Mold Odors

  • Affordable – You’ll be surprised at how affordable it is to rid your home of unpleasant odors.
  • Fast – In 24 hours, the treated areas are ready for normal use!

How It Works

The OdorStop device creates ozone (O3) in a special process that utilizes an electrical current to convert normal oxygen into ozone (O3). Ozone removes odors by breaking down odors, microorganisms and other pollutants at their source. Any unused ozone converts back to normal oxygen in about an 1-2 hour.

Nature creates ozone (O3) as a natural air cleaner in a number of ways. For example, if you’ve ever taken a walk after a thunderstorm and experienced the clean, fresh smell in the air…that’s ozone (O3) at work.

What to Expect

The property that is being treated needs to be vacated for approximately 24 hours. A few things we will do on the day of treatment:

  1. Close all outside doors and windows of the area to be treated.
  2. Make sure inside doors, such as bathroom and closet doors, are open.
  3. If the space to be treated has a separate heating and cooling system turn the fan “On” to circulate the air while the area is being treated.
  4. Make certain all occupants and pets have been removed.
  5. Hang signs on all entry doors to prevent entry after treatment starts.
  6. Set Timer to desired treatment time and then exit the space during treatment.
  7. We will arrive the next day and turn off the unit and open doors and windows.
  8. Allow 15 to 45 minutes after treatment time is finished before occupying the space, or open the outside windows and doors upon reentry.
  9. Wipe all hard surfaces and vacuum entire unit (optional).
  10. If you would like a full deep cleaning of the property check out our pre-listing services (optional)

Please Note: The EPA does not certify air cleaning devices. The technology we use does not purify, clean, or sanitize the air, rather it removes odors. Please consult a HVAC vendor if you are looking for “Air Cleaning” or “Air Sanitizing” services. If you need information on specific devices or manufacturers, one resource you can consult is the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), (202) 872-5955. AHAM conducts four certification programs for each category – room air cleaners, room air conditioners, dehumidifiers and refrigerator/freezers. The air cleaner certification program is known as AC-1.
